Biography
The Surface: KEEP ME CONSCIOUS (Boston, MA) is a band that has created a distinct brand of modern rock. Break through the surface of infectious melody and you will find soaring guitar riffs complimented by chest-stomping bass and crushing drum work. With hints of ambience, pop and even metal, the band has sharply crafted their sound to steer and break through the monotone glaciers in the cold sea of modern music.
The Truth: We are a collective of five musicians that have all teetered on the line of commercial success and complete failure in some way or another. Management and record label pressure have no part in our lives anymore. We were surrounded by music industry vampires as kids and it stripped our art into a business. Not anymore. The band name is a reflection and reminder of where we were and furthermore, where we are headed.
The Mission: When we started writing for KEEP ME CONSCIOUS, we were learning more about each other and ourselves than our very own instruments. Though it would be a bit predictable and quite the understatement to say that we love writing music, it is the truth. Our main objective is that in its simplest form .... create music that we love and believe in.
